Today I had to get back to business and catch up on some of the paid sewing I have to do. I repaired 4 pair of pants and moved the waist band down 2 inches on a fifth pair for a lady. We did math and language arts in school. For afternoon lessons I assigned them to plan a trip from our house to Maine for a vacation. They had to tell what states we would pass through, find attractions to visit in Maine, and plan when we were going etc.

My creativity today consisted of stamping. One Monday a month I meet with some other ladies and stamp. One of the ladies brings samples and supplies and shows us how to make different things.

I love this card. We used Versa mark and pearl ex powders.

This is a card I made to go with a baby gift I am giving this weekend.

What fun to have some ladies to stamp with. I had a group like that once a couple of years ago, but the other 2 ladies got jobs and so I hardly ever stamp anymore. I am making some cards I'll post soon.

So are you actually going to go to Maine? It's pretty up there - I haven't been since I was a teen.

Those are really neat. I like stamping, although I don't do it that often. It's great that you can get together with friends and do it! Our church is doing Friday night craft night. The ladies (or men too I suppose) bring whatever they're working on and chat with each other while they work on it. I haven't gone yet but it sounds like fun.

We are not going to Maine right now. I am just trying to get my 3rd grader to understand about the states in the U.S. We went to Kansas a while back and he wanted to know what country it was in! I am trying everything to get him to understand.
