It's been a beautiful weekend here. The children had a great time at the all nighter. At the end of the Awana year the 3-6th graders have this event. They went swimming, roller skating, went to laser venture, had a cook out, and a water battle. I didn't mention, but, Captain Kitty was honored this year in our Awana program. I don't know if you remember my mentioning how amazed I am with her memory. She has always had a phenominal ability to memorize. When she was 2 the doctor ask me if I had started teaching her the alphabet, she recited Psalm 100 for him. She had memorized it while I was working with her older brother to memorize it. This year in Awana she did her third year book, ALL the silver and gold and a bronze pack. She wanted to start on a silver pack and the next book, but I ask her to wait until next year. So she got her book award, an extra award for those things, and clubber of the year for her group.

The General and I made a quick trip up to my folks Friday night. Saturday I made thank you cards for Captain Cool to send out for his birthday.

I made this blanket for a baby present.

Here's a close up of the edging I crocheted. I crocheted over 180 inches of it.

I made this wallet for me. It's not exactly how I had envisioned it and I may make another one.

Congrats to your children and to you. It cracked me up when you said she recited Psalm 100 for him. I bet his jaw dropped.

That baby blanket is amazing. I really love crochet edgings and want to do it but am always stopping myself because I'm afraid I won't be able to. lol I may give it a try soon. I love that blanket. The cards are awesome and so is the wallet. Gosh, you've been busy!

We haven't been to laser venture in a while. There was a time when I felt we lived there. lol

The cards are nice. And the crocheting adds so much to the blanket. Do you mind if I ask what kind of sewing machine you have - does it embroider as well or do you have a seperate embroidery machine? I'm sorta in the market for a new sewing machine, but don't really know which direction to go in...

Just saw Kimberly's comment - you can email her or me. There's a link to my email on my blogger profile. Then we can send out an invite to the bagaholics blog and you can start posting!
